Evolve: Are you the Hunter or the Hunted?

Turtle Rock Studio released Evolve this week, its latest offering – and its first to test the power of what’s now current generation consoles – is a shooter that gives players the choice between predator or prey. Here’s the description from the official website:

“From Turtle Rock Studios, creators of Left 4 Dead, comes Evolve, the next generation of multiplayer shooters where four Hunters face off against a single, player-controlled Monster in adrenaline-pumping 4v1 matches. Play as the Monster to use savage abilities and an animalistic sense to kill your human enemies, or choose one of four Hunter classes (Assault, Trapper, Medic and Support) and team up to take down the beast on the planet Shear, where flora and fauna act as an adversary to man and monster alike. Level up to unlock new Hunter or Monster characters as well as upgrades, skins, and perks. Earn your infamy on the leaderboards and become the apex predator.”

Available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Anyone taken the leap yet? opposable thumbs up or down?

Michael is a classic example of a child trapped in an adult’s body – and I use the word “adult” very, very loosely. With interests ranging from comic books and movies to theater and fine art, Mike has followed humble journalistic beginnings that have led to interviews, reviews, news write-ups and opinion – though it’s ever changing – pieces covering those same interests. All of that brings us here, to a site where a community of like-minded geeks can inform the rest of the world on the topics we adore.

And on the personal side of things, Michael squeezes time for his lovely wife and house full of dogs between all the comic reading and video game playing.
